Application Form for Strategic Planning and Solicitation Positions

Application Form for Online Editor Positions

Your participation in this student-run journal will allow you to contribute to a Canadian cornerstone of legal scholarship based out of the McGill Faculty of Law. We accept applications from all McGill Law students for our editorial, online, management and strategic planning and solicitation boards in September of every year. Given our online format, students with web design and other computer skills are also encouraged to apply. We require a commitment of one calendar year.

We will be accepting applications for positions on the following boards:

English and French boards: Work hands-on with the articles submitted to the Journal, from the first intake assessment, through verification of sources and citations, to proof-reading.

Online board: Write and edit regular blog posts on current issues in health law and policy; maintain MJLH's social media accounts (Facebook and Twitter).

Management board: Plan and coordinate the annual colloquium and continuing legal education seminars, develop speaker series events as well as support the Editorial Board's initiatives.

Strategic Planning and Solicitation board: Research potential authors, maintain a database of contacts, stay up-to-date with health law events and represent the Journal at these events, and oversee distribution of the journal.

We are currently targeting Francophone students for recruitment to help develop our French editorial section. The MJLH strives to secure several high-profile French authors to contribute to each of our issues. As such, Francophone students are highly encouraged to apply.

With the publication of an article by a McGill Law student in our inaugural issue, the MJLH began a tradition of student scholarship. Articles may be written in either English or French, and our open call extends to Law students as well as professors. We encourage you to take advantage of the opportunity to publish your original research on health law in an academic journal.
